In an interview conducted by Geoffroy Klompke (1993), Rachel Goswell recalled the physical toll of life on the road, specifically reflecting on this particular gig:
I remember that concert in Brussels. I was really, very ill. I saw the video that someone had filmed. It was the last date of the short tour we had completed, and I had caught a serious cold. I felt truly awful that night. In the dressing rooms, there were camp beds, and when I arrived, before going on stage, I fainted on one. And when it was time to eat, I couldn't swallow a thing. After the concert, I went straight back to bed on that camp bed. People were asking me, 'Are you okay, Rachel?' and I was just there groaning, 'Oaahh! I'm siiiick...' It’s very annoying because every time we go on tour, I finish it very ill. It’s horrible.
Is that why you sat on the floor?
(laughs) Everything was spinning. I thought I was going to pass out. And they were telling me: you have to play this show! We went to the United States for a month, in May, a year ago. The morning after the last concert, when I woke up, I had lost my voice. I couldn't speak anymore. Upon returning to England a few days later, I had to stay in bed for three weeks. I don't know why. We travel in a bus where we also sleep; if someone catches a cold, everyone gets infected.
