SLOWDIVE at the S.U. — Tech crew anon, Egham Sun (16 October 1991)
Far from another Indie night at the Union, Slowdive are a unique outfit whose dream-like stage performance is, if not interesting, at least hypnotic. On Wednesday they drifted through earlier tracks such as Slowdive, Morning rise, Catch the breeze and perfect Avalyn, also featuring songs from the new album, the release of which, rather like the book and the Wogan Interview, coincides, not undeliberately, with their tour. Slowdive’s success is due to their aura on stage, and their capability to hold an audience captive has not as yet waned.
