A few days after the official announcement that Slowdive would be performing this year, Rachel Goswell sent us a message: "So excited to be coming over!". Some of us had to sit down when we read that. If you're a fan of Slowdive, you know what I'm talking about. This is one of the biggest bands in the history of our festival. Their music has been the soundtrack to a major part of my life, and I'm sure I'm not alone in this. They inspired many people in my home-town to start bands, or even devote their entire lives to music.
