From a Slowdive fan, Graham Hansford:

I was there! There were only about 20-odd of us in the audience and I'd persuaded three of them to turn up. It was in a very small room off the Mainline bar in the Commie. The sound was incredible in that small room, went right through you.I bet you'll never find anyone else who was there

From an interview in NME with Neil Halstead:

When we played' Avalyn' at Bradford. It was really strange, really embarrassing. There was this girl, really shy and nervous, who'd seen us a couple of times, and I'd spoken to her a bit. She was standing at the front next to this big guy in a long velvet coat who was slumped overright in front of me. She was pointing at him and looking at me and going, 'He's crying, he's crying'. I was so embarrassed, I just didn't know what to do.

Yes you will find someone else who was there. 2 people in fact! My husband and I, although at the time we were just friends, until about half way through Slowdive's performance! We were 19 years old, at Bradford Uni, and our friend in halls persuaded us to go. It was amazing and has never been forgotten.
